New Disney Princess: Maariyah by ArsalanKhanArtist New Disney Princess: Maariyah by ArsalanKhanArtist
hehe, oh well not really!! She is not from Disney, I made her by my own idea. I just wish she join Disney Princess. I wish Disney would allow my important story to be made by Disney and make her a new Disney Princess with other nine (or more) princesses (Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana and Rapunzel).

Now let me tell you about this new princess:

Name: Princess Maariyah
Ethnic/Oigin: Pahari-Pothowari Princess (Jammu and Kashmir: modern day Azad Kashmir, Pakistan)
Story Title: The Hidden Princess
Theme song: I am wondering...

Story: Once upon a time, there was a King Mobeen and his beautiful wife Sadia who lived in their palace in North-West Hindustan (now known as Pakistan). Queen Sadia had died giving birth to Maariyah, her daughter.
Queen Sadia knew about Zara the evil jinn/witch but she appeared as human form. The evil witch killed all the queens and also the princesses due to their beauty. Zara always stole their beauty to put on her face, so she looked beautiful but she was so vain.
Queen Sadia had a necklace, which protected her from the evil. This necklace was to save Maariyah from the evil witch. This evil witch Zara will try to kill Princess Maariyah once she turns 16. The Queen told King Mobeen that her last wish was to see her daughter wear the necklace when princess Maariyah turns 16 ...

I wish Disney could see it, could you help me to spread this to world?? yes please ...

because she is a unquie princess who has it own style and culture, she is not arabian or hindu, she is a Princess Maariyah

Future Disney Princess line-up: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel and Maariyah

Mashallah! This would be a wonderful story! As an American Muslim, I believe it is important to identify Princess Maariyah with her true culture. American girls have vanity pushed at them in the form of Barbie. We are teaching our daughters modesty and the beauty of Islam, they need a doll with a story to be proud of! Have you thought of self-publishing, perhaps, a series of books on the story of Maariyah? It would be a wonderful Eid gift! Inshallah, everything will work out in your favor and we will see Princess Maariyah on the big screen soon!

Hello, thank you, I am writing this novel (or novelette maybe), I have developing with this story, now its about relationship and life of Father and Daughter based Traditionalism (Old Unislamic custom) and Modernism (New World) as it took place in early 1910s. Here is update outfit of Princess Maariyah.

As for Traditional Things that we are facing in Muslim Countries such as force marriage, father wish to have a son, women's rights and education and poor people's rights all sort, thats point I wanted to make a story to change the view of muslim people because most of them prefer culture over religion which Islam has give us much more than this!!

Also I have changed names of most characters, and the evil jinn is still evil character

Wish me a luck :D

This is a beautiful idea, but I think if Disney ever made a princess from the India/Kashmir region, she should be hindu. There is already another Muslim princess, and nothing but the Jungle Book (which is a poor representation) to represent India. Being Indian myself, I don't feel that we're being represented well. In a few years DreamWorks will make Bollywood Superstar Monkeys, which is a retelling of the Indian epic, Ramayan, but the fact that it's about monkeys makes it not really count.

Again, I am allow to create a character whatever I want, for your infomation, I am a muslim Kashmiri, this princess based on Poonch Division of Jammu Kashmir, that area which had muslim rulers since few centuries. She was born in late 1880s, so if she was a hindu princess, her location would have been in Jammu Division of Jammu Kashmir. Kashmir Valley hardly have hindu rulers since after 1400s.

OH I hope this can become a disney movie!!! I am half pakistani! and I think I could finally have a princess that will look just like me:) (my hair is brown, I have tan skin and my eyes are a light hazel) Not only does this princess make me feel special but I know Pakistan, and the culture is so beautiful and rich:)

Love her design. She looks better to me than the Disney lineup. I could totally see Disney trying to rip this off.
You should look into a different animation company and see if someone would be willing to collaborate with you. :)
